Physical Therapy

We take good care of you – place your confidence in us – we give our best!

We offer the following kinds of therapy:

Connective Tissue Massage

The connective tissue massage according to DICKE is a segmental-reflex massage that can be performed on the whole of the body. It is applied for different disorders, e.g. migraine or diseases with hormonal conditioned clinical characteristics.

The development of a human being consists of several developmental stages. The first stage is the development on a blastodermic layer, which gets more and more specified with each division in the course of development. The cells seem to possess a kind of memory of this stage. There exists a connection between certain parts of the skin and the organs which all developed on the same blastodermic layer. These connections are still active in adults and can be used for therapeutical measures.

Craniosacral Therapie

There is a close connection between cranium (skull) and sacrum (sacral bone). This therapy helps to locate disorders in the former mentioned connection and to harmonize the craniosacral rhythm, thus bringing it back to flow.

Electrotherapy

By using middle frequent voltage for stimulation we can alleviate pain in the limbs and the spinal column. Paretic or weak muscles can be activated and build up by the use of "TENS- or Nemec" appliances. Inflammation of small and large joints can be reduced by the use of ultrasonic devices and supervoltage irradiation.

The so-called "Stangerbad" is a "hydroelectric bath", which means electrotherapy in an oversized bathtub. Short waves set cell molecules vibrating which causes deep warmth.

Fango

The "Karlsbader Einweg-Moorpackung" causes an increased thermopenetration (45-50°C) of the skin and muscles, which leads to an increased blood circulation that furthers the relaxation of the muscles and reliefs pain.

Functional Gymnastics For The Spinal Column

Pain syndroms resulting of degenerative diseases and of secondary damages of the torso and the limbs can be treated with this form of gymnastics. This active physical therapy can help to alleviate the pain and to reduce the symptoms.

Segmental-Reflex-Massage Of The Foot According To MARQUARDT

"Man gets reflected in his feet." The foot contains reflex centers for all organs, bones, nerves, muscles etc. With this kind of therapy the disorder gets treated not at the direct point of pain, but at the corresponding part of the foot.

Urethral Sphincter Training

Many patients complain about urinary and/or faecal incontinence after urologic-proctologic surgery, which impairs their quality of life. The sphincter training is to restore the activity of the constrictor muscle.

Infrared Therapy

The infrared radiation causes a local and reflectoric increase of the blood circulation in the deep tissue, which activates the metabolism and the production of vitamin D.

Lymph Drainage

Manual lymph drainage is a gentle technique to improve the production and backflow of the lymph, and to prevent lymphatic blockade. Swelling of limbs and genitals after injuries, diseases or surgery can be reduced and pain can be relieved.

Complex Lymphostasis Therapy

This kind of therapy can be performed on the limbs. The corresponding limb gets a lymph drainage first, afterwards it will be compressed with a special bandage. This way, a much bigger and longer lasting effect can be gained.

Kinesio Tape

This special tape offers a variety of treatments, e.g. therapy of muscle or joint disorders or even migraine or menstrual pains. It can improve muscular activity and blood circulation, reduce pain and support joints.

Manual Therapy

A disproportion between exercise tolerance and physical exertion can cause functional disorders of the locomotor system. Joints, muscles, nerves and other structures can be affected. Manual therapy succesfully locates the causes for the malfunction and heals them.

Massage

Well-tried and still effective. Alleviate tenseness for relaxation and recreation.

Mc Kenzie

This therapy is mainly for patients suffering from pains caused by intervertebral disk lesion. The patient has to perform active motions with the aim to reduce the pain. The centralization of the pain (pain of arms or legs wandering to the spine) provoked by this is the basis for the therapeutical treatment of the origin of the disorder. The patient learns to help himself by practicing these exercises.

Osteopathic Techniques

Osteopathy is an integral therapeutical method to stimulate the natural regenerative processes of the body. Osteopathy is not just the treatment of single symptoms, but the treatment of the body as a whole, with the search for hidden causes and their treatment.

PNF Propriozcptive Neuromuscular Fascilitation

"Diagonal Movement" or "Movement In Complex Patterns". This therapy helps to normalize the muscular tonus and thus to address a neuromuscular control. This increases the flexibility and strenghtening of the muscles, which leads to an improved motricity and a reduction of pain.

Transverse Friction According To Cyriax

This massage is applied strictly local, the therapist works in transverse direction of the fibrous tissue of the affected structure (muscle, ligament, sinew). This stimulates the metabolism and mobilizes adhesions, which leads to an improved motricity and a reduction of pain.

Loop Table Therapy

The loop table enables patients to perform motions of the limbs or the spine with reduced heaviness, since certain body parts get suspended from loops. The resulting relief promises an improved motricity and an alleviation of pain.

Shiatsu

Early on, the Chinese have discovered the vital energy that flows through our body and harmonizes body functions. An imbalance of this energy flow can be a symptom for a physical or mental disorder. Shiatsu can help to restore the balance and let the energy flow again to harmonize body and mind.

Kinotherapeutic Bath

In 32°C warm water motions will be performed under reduced gravity. The relaxing effect of the water as well as its resistance will be used for therapeutical aims.

Trigger- Point- Therapy

Our everyday life is defined by hurry, stress and the pressure to be successful, which often lead to muscular tenseness e.g. in the area of the shoulders and the neck, which can result in headaches and dizziness. False position and overstrain like working at a computer terminal can cause these symptoms. The tenseness can be relieved with on the point pressure on the corresponding musculature.

Cryotherapy

Cryotherapy furthers the blood circulation and inhibits inflammatory processes.
