Admission to Hospital

You have been diagnosed with an urologic disease? Therefore, your attending physician has admitted you to our hospital?
We ask you to show up at the urologic ward at 8am for your withdrawal of blood samples.
Our nursing staff will welcome you and show you around, thus you can become aquainted to your new surrounding.

Depending on the planned treatment our physicians will take care of the necessary examinations, which are:

  • X-ray examination of e.g. lower urinary tract (kidneys, urethra, bladder)
  • Cystomanometry
  • ECG

Some cases require further examinations. Normally, these can be performed on the day of your admission to hospital or the day after.

The day before your surgery one of our physicians will inform you in detail on how the operation will be performed and about possible risks. Furthermore, the anesthesiologist will discuss with you possible forms of anesthesia and which will be best for you.

During your stay in hospital you will be taken care of around the clock by our nursing staff and physicians. There will be daily physician's visits by the responsible physicians. .

The best time for patient's relatives to talk to the attending physician is in the afternoon.
