Reha Reuterstrasse
Reha-Zentrum Reuterstrasse, furthered by the government and the state of NRW as a new project, has been providing the region with its extensive range of offers in the field of geriatric rehabilitation since 1996.
On account of the ever increasing number of old people in our society the health service has to deal with the question how to further and preserve the independency and quality of life of old and old, old people. The interdisciplinary idea of geriatrics has proven to be successful in this field.
It is the aim of geriatric rehabilitation to restore and to preserve independency and quality of life of aged patients after an acute disease or in iminent need of nursing treatment. Rehabilitation is performed in consideration of the patient's physical, intellectual, mental, and social needs. A multiprofessional team of physicians, nurses, physiotherapists, ergotherapists, speech therapists, social workers, clergy-men and nutritionists will take care of our patients. . A close cooperation between the medical directors of Akutgeriatrie Marien-Krankenhaus Bergisch Gladbach (for acute geriatric cases) and Reha Reuterstrasse, in the sense of a holistic geriatric provision, guarantees a high standard of the ‘Geriatric Center' Bergisch Gladbach.
